The Cape Winelands’ top bubbly offerings will be on full display at the Capitec Franschhoek Cap Classique & Champagne Festival on November 30 and December 1.
At the iconic Huguenot Monument this year, the event will feature a host of floral-themed festivities and live entertainment alongside gourmet food and Cap Classique sparkling wine tastings. The theme of the event, “Elegantly Floral”, celebrates the summer season and surrounding Cape Floral Kingdom landscapes.
Franschhoek’s local restaurants and various pop-up food stalls will offer artisanal, French-inspired fare with entertainment by musicians such as Majozi and the Absolutely Fabulous Duo.
“As we celebrate the close of the year, the Capitec Franschhoek Cap Classique & Champagne Festival offers a wonderful opportunity to come together and toast the wins of 2024 while looking ahead to a bright 2025,” said Asha Patel, Head of Brand and Communications at Capitec.
“Our partnership reflects our commitment to fostering community connections while empowering the entrepreneurs of South Africa in this space. We look forward to sharing in the exceptional Cap Classiques and ‘gourmet gold’ this valley is so renowned for."
Guests will receive a complimentary glass champagne flute and 10 tasting tokens at the entrance, granting access to a selection of Cap Classiques. A variety of champagnes will also be available for purchase by the glass or bottle. In accordance with South African law, all guests must be over the age of 18.
