A new eco-conscious luxury safari brand – Few & Far – will enter the South African market with the launch of a six-suite lodge in Limpopo’s Vhembe Biosphere Reserve in early 2025.
Perched on a cliff in the Soutpansberg Mountains, Few & Far Luvhondo’s air-conditioned suites will each offer a king-size bed (with up to two additional roller beds for children), a hot tub plunge pool, an expansive viewing deck and indoor and outdoor showers.
The standout activity will be a solar-powered aerial cable car known as the “Solfari”. The cable car will provide a silent, eco-friendly opportunity for guests to observe wildlife and view the mountain landscapes.
Other activities will include guided game drives, bush walks, bird watching, overnight sleep-outs under the stars, mountain biking, stargazing and an immersive “conservationist for a day” experience.
Sustainability is prioritised through Few & Far’s participation in the Verra Registered Carbon Programme. The lodge has committed to sequestering over 100 000 tonnes of carbon annually through ecosystem regeneration and rewilding.
The eco lodge will offer multi-course bush dinners, cook-out breakfasts and traditional braais with most produce sourced from the on-site farm.
From a wellness perspective, a labyrinth walk and a variety of spa treatments using locally sourced ingredients will be available.
