From March, Ethiopian Airlines will fly to two new cities in the Democratic Republic of Congo – Kisangani and Mbuji-Mayi.
Tewolde GebreMariam, Ethiopian Group CEO, said the routes would increase its gateways to the DRC to five. The airline also flies to Lubumbashi, Goma and Kinshasa. “Our flights to Mbuji-Mayi and Kisangani will enable travellers from and to these two economically important cities to enjoy convenient and seamless connectivity to our global network of over 100 international destinations stretching across five continents.”
Ethiopian Airlines plans to expand to a further 10 new destinations within the next six months.
The flights operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The flight schedule for the new services to the DRC is as follows:
ET0833: Departing Addis Ababa at 10h00, arrives in Kisangani at 11h50.
ET0833: Departs Kisangani at 12h50, arrives in Mbuji-Mayi at 14h15.
ET0833: Departs Mbuji-Mayi at 15h15, arrives in Addis Ababa at 19h30.
