The flagship White Pearl luxury resort in Mozambique has begun a comprehensive renovation project to revive, renew and revitalise the facility by August 2025.
Situated in Ponta Mamoli, south of the capital, Maputo, the resort’s five suites are undergoing significant upgrades and wooden decking at the main entrance and walkways is being replaced.
Suite enhancements will encompass overhauls of the private pools, roofs and ceilings, aluminium sliding doors, cupboards, curtains and linens. The wooden deck and walkways will be changed from pine to hard-wearing simbiri wood.
The resort will minimise guest disturbance by renovating during low-occupancy periods. By October, 36% of work is expected to be completed. As high season approaches, the project will temporarily pause and resume in mid-January 2025. The renovations are expected to reach 75% completion by Easter 2025 and full completion by August 2025.
"Our priority has always been to provide a uniquely luxurious and outstanding experience in one of the most exquisite coastal locations. This renovation is about preserving the essence of White Pearl while elevating it to new heights of excellence. We are committed to ensuring that our guests continue to experience the high standards and exclusivity they have come to expect," said Florival Mucave, Chairman of White Pearl Resorts.
