The South African PGA Championship at St Francis Links in the Eastern Cape on November 21 showcased one of South Africa’s top golf courses and provided a competitive platform for local talent.
St Francis Links, known for its challenging design and scenic views, was the venue for a strong field that included defending champion Rupert Kaminski and 2022 runner-up Casey Jarvis. “This course demands precision and focus and it’s always a privilege to play here,” said Jarvis, reflecting on the tournament.
The event also featured emerging players such as Kyle de Beer, leader of the Fortress Rookie of the Year standings, alongside Nikhil Rama and Dylan Naidoo, highlighting ongoing development of South African golf talent.
The championship was supported by African Bank, the Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency, Sarah Baartman District Municipality, Kouga Local Municipality, Momentum and Cape St Francis Resort.
Set against the backdrop of St Francis Links, the event combined high-level competition with the natural beauty of one of South Africa’s premier courses.
