Uganda and it’s anti-LGBTQ+ policies
At Indaba, Tourism Update Editor, Adele Mackenzie, had a few conversations with operators about selling Uganda as a destination. The topic of conversation was the country’s discriminatory policies against the LGBTQ+ community.
One operator highlighted that the global tourism industry consists of many from the LGBTQ+ community. He said: “Should our tourism authority be creating a platform to promote a country that has such discriminatory policies?”
