When Tourism Update last checked in with readers, we queried whether the industry had experienced any shortage of skills as a barrier to rebuilding their business following the devastation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
From 119 responses, the overwhelming majority of 68% said ‘yes’, they had noticed a skill shortage during post-COVID recovery.
Only 13% said ‘no’, while the remaining 18% said only ‘in some instances’ was the brain drain effect noted.
