Over 10 Kenyan travel trade partners have pitched their stand at OTM at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, from January 23 to 25, to woo travellers to Kenya. OTM is a leading outbound travel show for the Asia-Pacific region which acts as a gateway to India’s largest travel markets, featuring over 1 000 exhibitors, over 50 countries, 800 buyers and an average of 15 000 trade visitors.
India is ranked among Kenya’s top five tourist source markets from the Asian continent and is considered among the fastest growing outbound travel markets, expected to account for 50 million outbound tourists by 2020, according to KTB.
Kenya’s tourism performance for 2018 exceeded previous years, surpassing the two-million mark with a growth of 37.3%, reaching 2.025 million visitors compared with 1 474 671 in 2017.
