Zulu Rock Lodge, set to open this month, is the second accommodation offering in the new Babanango Game Reserve in the north of KwaZulu Natal.
The lodge offers views across the rolling hills of the reserve, which is home to a stretch of the White Umfolozi River and a wealth of wildlife species.
With seven rock-clad guest suites, including a two-bedroom family suite with its own private boma, viewing deck and swimming pool, the lodge can sleep 16 people. Styled with a combination of African traditional and modern design, the organic and contemporary furnishings include rich leathers, woven textiles and wood.
Activities at the reserve include game drives, birding, guided bush walks and cultural and history tours.
