Lufthansa will launch flights between Frankfurt and Nairobi on October 27. The route will be operated by an Airbus A340-300 and will initially operate four times a week, with an additional flight to be added on December 11.

Flight LH 590 will leave Lufthansa’s Frankfurt hub at 11h10 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays (and on Fridays from December 11 to the end of January 2016), to arrive in Nairobi at 21h15. Return flight LH 591 will depart Nairobi at 23h20 to arrive in Frankfurt at 05h55 the following day. The flight time is eight hours 20 minutes.

In a statement, Lufthansa said it expected high demand on the new route.
