Mantis has taken over Lion Camp, a luxury safari lodge in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia.
Longa W. Mulikelela, Mantis Operations Manager in Zambia, said: “Lion Camp has been delivering truly memorable safari experiences over the past 10 years and, after a major renovation will reopen in May under Mantis management.”
He said the entire camp would be rebuilt and feature a larger main area deck and two new suites in prime locations.
The main area will have additional space and light and the new rooms will be designed to maximise the views. The eight luxury rooms will retain the essential ‘tree house’ feel, with canvas walls and a thatched roof, but with even more comfort.
The two new luxurious suites will offer more privacy and ideal accommodation for honeymooners and families with one or two children younger than 12 years.
Mulikelela said the same dedicated team of highly experienced and qualified guides would lead guests on game drives, night drives and walking safaris in South Luangwa National Park, where walking safaris originated.
Mantis is a world-leading collection of hotels and eco-escapes scattered across the planet.
