August 2016 has proved to be a month of milestones and drama for Ashtons.
Early in the month Ashtons crossed the 40 000 pax threshold for total long-haul transfer clients booked since 2010. And August will comfortably become the 4th consecutive calendar month in which Ashtons transfers over 1000 clients between Johannesburg and the Greater Kruger.
The drama belonged to one of Ashtons’ off-duty drivers who had overnighted between duties on a property located just outside one of the Big 5 reserves. Whilst enjoying early morning bird watching, he was charged by an angry buffalo and left with nowhere to run. He miraculously escaped serious injury by grabbing onto its horns as it impacted him and holding on for dear life until two brave employees could come to his aid. He has subsequently gone under the knife to repair damaged knee ligaments, but his future Kruger Shuttle passengers will enjoy a quite remarkable tale!
