Namibia Wildlife Resorts has opened the Naukluft Campsite in the Namib-Naukluft National Park. The project cost R7,9m and included accommodation, facilities, a restaurant, kiosk, bar, furniture and a pool. The site offers 10 campsites with basic amenities and activities include 4x4 and hiking trails, nature walks and bird watching. The Naukluft section of the park was originally created as a sanctuary for Hartmann’s mountain zebra, which are endemic to Namibia. This section of the park is also home to five different vegetation groups. The Naukluft Campsite is 245km from Windhoek, 339km from Swakopmund and 153km from Sossusvlei.
