Cape St Francis Resort, ideally located between beach and nature reserve in the quaint seaside village of Cape St Francis, has added 10 new rooms to its Club Break three-star rooms portfolio, bringing the total number of Club Break rooms to 68.
The new rooms are ideal for those seeking a cosy base from which to explore the beautiful Cape St Francis surroundings. Hotel-styled but with a more personal feel, these units feature queen or twin beds, a small kitchenette nook and spacious bathrooms with showers large enough for two.
The resort has launched an exciting new adventure – the Baviaans Camino – a seven-day excursion into the breath-taking Baviaanskloof Nature Reserve, either hiking on foot or riding on horseback. The trail traverses the Baviaanskloof and Kouga mountain ranges and Kouenek Kortkloof and Moordenaarskloof ravines, with camping and barbecues alongside rivers and valleys.
Accommodation is in tents and farmhouses along the route. Departure dates are from April until September.
Cape St Francis Resort is also offering six-night beach and bush packages in partnership with some Eastern Cape game reserves. Guests spend three nights at a reserve and three nights at Cape St Francis Resort.
Resort Manager, Anita Lennox, says the packages are proving popular, especially among the family market. Some highlights include a beach hike with a calamari tasting and a picnic basket at Sunset Rock – a favourite whale-watching lookout point. The resort also offers bush, beach and golf packages that include at least two games of golf at Cape St Francis golf courses.
