The Mantis Collection has opened two new properties in Rwanda – Mantis Akagera Game Lodge and Mantis Kivu Marina Bay Hotel.
Akagera Game Lodge has been recently refurbished and is two hours from Kigali, in the Akagera National Park. Activities include guided game drives, boat safaris, night drives, behind-the-scenes tours, community cultural tours and fishing.
The lodge has 60 rooms, all with balconies and en-suite bathrooms; a bar and restaurant; and a conference room that can host up to 60 delegates.
The swimming pool and large pool deck overlook Lake Ihema, Rwanda’s second largest lake.
Mantis Kivu Marina Bay Hotel in the Rusizi district is a newly built property on the banks of Lake Kivu and a kilometre from Kamembe Airport in Cyangugu.
The hotel offers 79 rooms, a convention centre with two conference venues that can seat up to 500 delegates, a banqueting hall and VIP lounges. A swimming pool and kiddies’ pool overlook the lake and feature a pool bar.
The hotel’s Camelot Spa offers a menu of treatments and access to a fully equipped gym.
The hotel is 55km from Nyungwe Forest National Park, where visitors can expect to see a dozen primate species, numerous birds, plants, amphibians, and reptiles.
