Shongwe Lookout Guest Lodge (SLGL) is set to open in Victoria Falls in June.
The 23-room lodge features a viewing tower (where scenes of the Zambezi River and spray rising from Victoria Falls can be viewed), pool, restaurant, bar, self-service laundry facilities, garden, cribs or infant beds, and private bathrooms.
“We hope to complete construction of the lodge next month,” says Lodge Manager, Jamie Henson. “We will take in our first guests at SLGL at the beginning of June.”
Victoria Falls currently has a capacity of around 2 000 rooms, and requires about 500 more to cope with the anticipated increase in tourist arrivals this year and beyond.
