Soroi Collection's luxury tented camp, Soroi Larsens Camp, in Samburu, Kenya, is undergoing a complete transformation and is expected to reopen in July. The entire camp is being rebuilt and is currently in the final phase of reconstruction.

According to Monet Tiran, Head of Sales and Marketing for the Soroi Collection, the new Soroi Larsens Camp has been redesigned to be smaller, more exclusive, and more opulent than previously. The camp now offers 14 luxury tented rooms built on raised platforms, providing guests with a personalised and immersive experience.

"Soroi Larsens Camp has been reconstructed from the ground up, focusing on creating an intimate and luxurious atmosphere,” said Tiran. “We now offer ten luxurious tents, two family units, and two deluxe luxury tented suites, each featuring private terraces with exclusive river views. The pièce de résistance, our deluxe luxury tented suites, offer spacious living areas, dedicated 24/7 butlers, outdoor showers, and beautiful sleepout decks with star beds."

All the luxury tents at Soroi Larsens Camp face the river and include amenities such as a spacious king-size bed, en-suite bathroom, large private wooden terrace overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro river, writing desk, butler hatch, walk-in wardrobe, and comfortable lounge sofas on the terrace.

The family suites consist of two separate en-suite bedrooms – one with a king-size bed and the other with twin beds – and offer sunken lounge seating and a private terrace facing the Ewaso Nyiro river.

Facilities at the camp will include a spa and an infinity swimming pool.

Guests can take part in activities such as game drives, bird walks, sundowners, swimming, bush dinners, and bush walks. Additionally, there are day excursions to the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary.

Situated on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, in the heart of the Samburu Game Reserve, Soroi Larsens Camp can be reached by driving 350km from Nairobi, which takes about five hours. Alternatively, guests can opt for a scheduled flight from Nairobi to Oryx Airstrip in Samburu Game Reserve, with a flight duration of approximately 1.5 hours, followed by a short transfer to the camp.
