Kenya’s Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife has commenced a public participation forum on the proposed National Tourism Policy and Tourism Amendment Bill 2024. The first session took place in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, on February 10 with input from stakeholders in the North Rift region including representatives of Baringo, Turkana and Elgeyo Marakwet counties. The second session at Kisumu Hotel in Kisumu on February 14 was followed by the third session at Lynson Africa Resort in Narok today (February 17).
Led by the State Department of Tourism, the Bill aims to address emerging tourism trends, promote sustainability, enhance governance and create a more supportive tourism environment. David Kinyangi, State Department of Tourism Director, attended the forum alongside other senior officials.
The forum is part of a broader series of sessions planned for 09h00-12h30 at

- Sarova Whitesands, Mombasa, on March 4
