More than R2 million (€111 000) has been invested in upgrading and refurbishing the the five-star aha Shepherd's Tree Game Lodge in the exclusive-use zone of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve.
New additions include an eight-seat boma and a new villa, which replaces one of the family units.
The villa offers two ensuite bedrooms, a fully furnished patio, a sundeck and a heated splash pool.
Conferencing facilities – for up to 70 delegates, classroom style – have also been refurbished. Wine connoisseurs are drawn to the lodge's well-stocked wine cellar, packed to the rafters with some of the best South African wines available. And the newly painted cellar has been revamped for a more contemporary feel.
