South African Airways’ flights continue to be disrupted, with domestic and regional services cancelled today, Monday November 18.
The airline reintroduced international flights, departing from OR Tambo International Airport on Sunday.
The cancellations are as a result of ongoing industrial action by unions the South African Cabin Crew Association and the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa.
Departures from SAA’s international stations – London, New York, Washington, Munich, Frankfurt and Hong Kong – are expected to operate from today, November 18. The first departure from São Paulo was expected to operate on Sunday, November 17. Perth flights are expected to resume on Tuesday, November 19.
Domestic passengers will be re-accommodated where possible on Mango.
Customers travelling to regional destinations in Africa will be re-accommodated on Airlink where possible.
The SAA Call Centre hours have been extended from 06h00 to midnight, South African time to rebook affected passengers.
