South African Airways has launched the ‘Go See Southern Africa’ campaign in North America to combat misconceptions around travel to the region and to emphasise the great experiences and value of travelling in Southern Africa.
In conjunction with the campaign, SAA tour operators and travel service providers are promoting packages to South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and other destinations in the region.
“Now is a great time to explore Southern Africa, with the extremely favourable exchange rate for the US dollar and the very affordable offers that are being promoted by SAA and our participating tourism partners in North America,” said Marc Cavaliere, Executive Vice President for SAA in North America.
SAA operates a daily nonstop service to Johannesburg from New York-JFK and daily direct service from Washington, DC-Dulles Airport. From its Johannesburg hub, SAA and its regional airline partners offer flights to over 55 destinations throughout the African continent.
