SAA will suspend all domestic flights, from March 27 until April 16, due to the 21-day nationwide lockdown.
The airline will continue to support customers who change travel to before the lockdown commences, and will provide one free change for travel between March 24 and March 26, according to a statement from SAA. Re-accommodation for this purpose will work on a first-come-first-served basis.
SAA call centres will not be open during the lockdown and the airline advises customers to direct enquiries to the following channels:
- customersolutions@flysaa.com for COVID-19 enquiries on policies or travel bans, and general enquiries relating to SAA business continuity.
- ReservationsJNB@flysaa.com for changes to existing bookings for future travel and new bookings.
- VoyagerServiceRecovery@flysaa.com for Voyager Blue, Silver and Blue members
- Voyager Platinum members will continue to be supported via the dedicated email channel
All international and regional flights remain suspended until May 31.
