Singita is set to open a new luxury lodge, and a luxury private villa in the north-west Rwanda, on the edge of Volcanoes National Park, bordering Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Opening in August, Singita Kwitonda Lodge and Kataza House, will form part of an ambitious conservation partnership between the Rwandan government and local communities.
Singita Kwitonda Lodge boasts views of the Sabyinyo, Gahinga and Muhabura volcanoes, and is surrounded by high-altitude forests. Due to its location, the lodge offers an experience unlike any of Singita’s other destinations.
The lodge has eight suites linked by volcanic rock pathways to the central lodge. There is a private heated pool outside every suite, in-room spa treatments; and each suite has an iPad with media suite with photographic.
Kataza House comprises four-bedroom suites, grouped around indoor and outdoor dining and lounge areas.
Kataza House is designed for exclusive use, while all the facilities and amenities at the adjacent Singita Kwitonda Lodge are at guests’ disposal. It has private wine room and kitchen, heated pool off the main lounge, private pool off master suite, massage room and spa treatments, complimentary Wi-Fi, iPad and media suite in each room, photographic equipment.
Children of all ages are welcome at Singita Kwitonda Lodge and Kataza House.
Both properties can be accessed by road from Kigali International Airport, and are approximately a 2.5 hours’ from the airport. Alternatively, helicopter transfers are available to Volcanoes National Park from the airport with a short road transfer to the lodge.
