The Kenya Tourism Board, in collaboration with Athletics Kenya, successfully wrapped up the Magical Kenya Mountain and Trail Series with the final event, the Tinderet Barng’etuny Mountain Run, last week.
The series, which attracted local and international athletes, aimed to promote Kenya’s breathtaking landscapes and solidify its reputation as a world-class sports tourism hub. The events took place across diverse mountain terrains, showcasing Kenya’s unique natural beauty while fostering community engagement and healthy living.
At the climax of the event at Tinderet Hills, John Ololtuaa, Principal Secretary of the State Department for Tourism, highlighted the government’s dedication to positioning Kenya as a leading destination for sports tourism.
The event not only brought together athletes but also attracted nature enthusiasts, offering participants a chance to explore Kenya’s rugged mountain trails.
