Steenberg Vineyards will launch its new Bistro-style cellar door restaurant and wine tasting venue in the Constantia Valley.
Bistro 1682, an interactive daytime restaurant, will incorporate the Steenberg Winery, Wine Tasting Bar and Tasting Lounge. Set in the vineyards, the 70-seater bistro will feature the Raw Bar and a terraced dining area.
Raw delicacies such as sashimi, gravadlax, ceviche, carpaccio, oysters, and tartare dishes will be freshly prepared to order by designated chefs. Meanwhile, Steenberg’s wines will be paired and showcased together with Head Chef, Brad Ball’s, original culinary creations.
The facility, which will also be home to the renovated Steenberg Winery and maturation cellar, will open towards the end of the year.
