Uganda Airlines will launch direct flights between Entebbe International Airport and London Heathrow from November.
According to Rahim Shakila Lamar, the airline’s Corporate Affairs and Public Relations Manager, flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Lamar said timings would be announced at a later date after consideration of other flights feeding into the London route. The airline will use an Airbus A330-800Neo on the route.
Uganda Airlines is gradually expanding its network and regionally it plans to fly to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is also resuming and launching more long-haul flights in addition to the London route. In October 2021 it resumed flights to Dubai and is eyeing Guangzhou by the end of 2023.
