The Marine Hotel in Hermanus will host four wine pairing dinners this winter in collaboration with some of the Overberg’s most acclaimed wineries.
Starting June 4, the events will take place every month and will be co-hosted by the winemaker of each featured wine estate, reports Cape Town etc.
The first event will showcase Whalehaven wines, along with the wines of Idiom, and will be hosted by the hotel’s new Head Chef Oelof Verster and winemaker, Reino Thiart.
The next event will take place on June 25 and will be in collaboration with Newton Johnson. The third event will happen on July 30 in collaboration with Beaumont, and the final event on August 27 is in collaboration with Lomond.

We will be presenting these perfectly paired 5-course menus in our elegant restaurant, The Pavilion, providing diners with the opportunity to interact with the winemaker and our executive kitchen team.”
The cost for the event is R645 per person, this includes canapés and a welcome drink, as well as a five-course dinner with wine pairing.
