Amalinda Lodge will introduce a new community levy from next month, April.

Head of Sales & Marketing, Savannah Stead, said the levy will effect beginning of the next month.

“As from the first of April 2018 a compulsory Amalinda Lodge community levy of $10 (€8.12) per person per night will be applied to all new bookings.“ Stead said.

The Conservation Levy is used entirely in the funding of community development projects, Anti-Poaching Unit and other conservation efforts to protect the endangered species.

Amalinda lodge has partnered with The Mother of Africa Trust (TMAT) to implement these community developments.

TMAT intends to further its mission of uplifting the local community and establishment of meaningful and effective conservation initiatives for the long-term.

Amalinda lodge is a 9-room, privately owned safari lodge located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Matobo Hills, the oldest National Park in Zimbabwe.
