Thonga Beach Lodge, an Isibindi Africa lodge, in KwaZulu Natal, has recently completed a refurbishment.

All the bathrooms were remodelled and the baths have been removed, except in the family and deluxe ocean suite, in an effort to save water. The two suites now have smaller, porcelain baths.

All the rooms now have walk-in showers and the deluxe ocean view suite has an outdoor shower. There are heated towel rails in all the bathrooms.

One forest-view room has been remodelled to be wheelchair friendly and the main areas of the lodge can now be accessed by wheelchair. Improved wheelchair access will be introduced to all the Isibindi Africa lodges in future renovations.
