Rwandan carrier RwandAir is set to expand its long-haul operations after the addition of a third long-haul aircraft, an A330-200. This brings the carrier’s aircraft count to 13, of which nine are short-haul and one is a freighter.
The new aircraft will augment the carrier’s services to certain African destinations, as well as the routes to Europe and Middle East.
From March 26, RwandAir will add two flights on WB111, its route from Cape Town to Harare, on Fridays and Sundays.
On the same date, the airline will also add three flights on WB107, the route from Johannesburg to Lusaka, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
The daily flights from Johannesburg to Kigali will remain unchanged.
RwandAir has plans to introduce flights to Paris, CDG this year.
