Air Mauritius has announced plans to commence two seasonal weekly direct flights from Mauritius to Rome, from October 16 until April 30 next year.
An Airbus A330-900neo aircraft will be deployed, configured in two classes, with 28 seats in business class and 260 seats in economy class. Flights are scheduled for Wednesdays and Sundays, with flight MK030 departing Mauritius at 08h40 and arriving in Rome at 17h40 from October 16-26. The return flight, MK041 from Rome, will depart at 19h25 and arrive in Mauritius at 08h05 the following day.
From October 27 to March 29 next year, flight MK030 will depart Mauritius at 09h40 and land in Rome at 17h40. The return flight, MK041, will leave Rome at 19h25 and arrive in Mauritius at 09h05 the following day.
From March 30 to April 30 next year, flight MK030 will depart Mauritius at 08h40 and arrive in Rome at 17h40. The return flight, MK041, will depart Rome at 19h25 and arrive in Mauritius at 08h05 the following day.
Laurent Recoura, Officer in Charge of Air Mauritius, said the introduction of the two non-stop flights to Rome was part of the airline’s European network consolidation. “The tourism industry in Mauritius will also benefit from these two non-stop flights, which will attract more visitors from Italy and neighbouring countries to Mauritius."
