Ashtons Tours, Safaris & Shuttles will now allocate two 14-seater Quantums per day to its scheduled Johannesburg-Hoedspruit departures, and a further two a day to its scheduled Hoedspruit-Johannesburg departures.
The extra vehicles have been added to departures that exhibit higher than average demand. “With a combined total of at least 48 Kruger Shuttle seats available per day, Ashtons is largely able to meet the needs of those international tourists who plan their Greater Kruger Safaris in advance, as well as those who leave their transfer arrangements to the last minute,” Ashtons said in a statement.
The 11h00 Kruger Shuttle departure from OR Tambo is currently only offered every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, a schedule that has been extended until October 31, 2017. A decision will be made by Ashtons by January 2017 on whether to offer this later departure as a scheduled daily service from November 1, 2017 onwards.
