The third annual conference on Attractions Management in Southern Africa will take place on June 8-9, 2016 in Cape Town.

“In South Africa, attraction managers have tended to go to conferences related to the industry they represent – so zoos go to zoo conferences, aquariums go to aquarium conferences. They haven’t had access to attraction-specific conferences where they can learn from one another,” says Sabine Lehmann, MD of Table Mountain Aerial Cableway and Chair of Attractions Africa.

The conference gives attraction managers the opportunity to discuss challenges and solutions specific to attractions: managing the flow of visitors, the seasonal nature of the industry and how to retain good staff despite seasonal demands. Broader topics such as the future of attractions, current benchmarks for emerging markets, digitalisation in communication as well as sales and product development are also addressed.
