The leafy suburb of Tamboerskloof in Cape Town will see the reopening of the Cape Milner Hotel on December 15, and the team are raring to go, says GM, Natasha Palterman.
“After a tough year for our tourism and hospitality industry, our imminent reopening has instilled within our team a strong sense of optimism for the future and an opportunity to start afresh, rebuild and recover well into 2021,” says Palterman.
A haven for the production industry, for international visitors and South African business and leisure travellers, the hotel appeals to guests who seek tranquillity and an escape from the city, while being close enough to enjoy its vibe.
“Our guests appreciate our hub location and easy access, within minutes, to several key Cape Town treasures – Table Mountain, Camps Bay, the V&A Waterfront and Kloof Street. We really are in the heart of it all, but being in the City Bowl suburbs gives us that neighbourhood feel you wouldn’t get right in the middle of a busy city,” Palterman says.
For Natasha and her team, the prospect of reopening to show off the newly upgraded rooms for the upcoming season is one that has filled them with excitement, and they’ve been hard at work to ensure that the internationally accepted and approved hygiene and health protocols have been put in place, not only to safeguard guests and staff, but to deliver real comfort too.
Self-drive locals will be pleased with the secure, complimentary underground parking and the fact that the property is just a short hop away from all the attractions. Day visitors are welcome.
‘Staycation’ specials start from R776pps (€42) per night, including breakfast.
A date-night offer starts from R1 900 (€103) per couple.
A three-night family stay is available from R5 532 (€300) for two adults and two children under 12. This offer includes accommodation, daily breakfast and activity vouchers, which make it easier than ever to visit Cape Town with the whole family, or perhaps a group of friends seeking a convenient base.
“Our swanky Glass Lounge has always been a firm favourite with locals and guests who want to enjoy a nightcap with the magnificent view of Table Mountain visible through the roof. We’d love to see our day visitors return for a meal, sundowners and that renowned hospitality our staff are known for,” says Palterman.
The Cape Milner is part of the Extraordinary Collection of Lodges and Hotels in Southern Africa, whose properties range from Cape Town to private concessions in the Kruger National Park through to the North West and Limpopo safari areas and Zimbabwe.
