Fair Trade Tourism (FTT) has launched a new online user-friendly self-guided business consulting service.
The service shows all the aspects of tourism business’s operations that impact on people (including staff, suppliers, and travellers) and the planet.
“FTT spent the better part of the past few months upgrading its presence in the digital space, including migrating about 15 years of learnings from our own organisation, certified businesses, and partners who share our vision for better tourism, to a user-friendly online platform,” said Lisa Scriven, FTT Programme Manager.
The aim of the service is to support businesses to create better places to live, better places to visit, and a more rewarding travel and tourism experience for all.
With the new service, tourism businesses can apply for audits and FTT certification online, become a member and promote themselves in the growing responsible tourism market.
FTT certification is available for accommodation, activities, attractions, restaurants, and volunteer tourism.
