FX Africa Foreign Exchange has launched a card designed for inbound visitors to South Africa.
The FXdirect Rand Card is prepaid, PIN-based debit card accepted for use at all point of sale (POS) devices and can be used to withdraw cash at any ATM displaying the MasterCard logo within South Africa.
Benefits of the reloadable card is that it is safe – there is no need to carry local currency in cash, the card is PIN protected and lost or stolen cards can be cancelled and replaced within 24 hours.
The exchange rate is fixed at the time the currency is loaded to avoid currency fluctuations.
Other programme features include:
• No POS transaction fees
• Internet and mobile access to account balance, statement and stop card functionality
• Telephone support 365 days a year from 09h00 to 23h00 daily
• Value added services such as emergency roadside assistance, emergency medical insurance, maps and navigation, and mobile email.
The card is valid for up to three years and has a maximum load amount of R50 000.
In addition, the card can be customised for inbound tour operators with co-branding.
