Abelana Game Reserve in Phalaborwa, Limpopo, has repositioned its new luxury accommodation offering, Abelana River Lodge, as a higher-end product offering.
The repositioning follows extensive upgrade and development of the 40-bed lodge.
"While we originally went to market with a lower rate, as the development has unfolded, we have put more into the final design, as we feel the location and views contribute to a superlative end-product," said Abelana CEO, Ian Beauchamp.
He said the 20 suites all had uninterrupted views over the river, which is home to hippos, crocodiles and a host of other wildlife.
"Of course, all our existing contracts with our trade partners will be honoured, and we would like to invite the trade to come out and see both Abelana River Lodge and its sister property, Abelana Safari Camp, to see first-hand what we have created here and what our vision is.”
He said Abelana continued to work hand-in-hand with the owners of the land, the Mashishimale Community.
