Lufthansa is increasing its frequencies between Munich and Cape Town from five weekly non-stop flights to a daily schedule. The seasonal service is valid during South Africa’s summer season and will be operated using the A340-600.
In addition, Edelweiss will connect Zurich with Cape Town non-stop twice a week during South Africa’s high season, operating flights from this month until mid-May 2016.
Lufthansa is also introducing the new-generation Boeing B747-8 to its Johannesburg route. The stretched jumbo jet passenger version, also known as the ‘Queen of the skies’, landed on African soil on October 25.
