Tourism Seychelles and national airline Air Seychelles have solidified their commitment to promoting Seychelles as a premier tourist destination through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed at Botanical House last week.
The MOU was signed by Sherin Francis, Principal Secretary for Tourism Seychelles, and Captain Sandy Benoiton, CEO of Air Seychelles.
The partnership aims to enhance visibility and attract more visitors to the archipelago by leveraging joint activities in targeted markets. Under the agreement, both parties will collaborate closely on various marketing initiatives. They will utilise a range of communication channels, including social media platforms, to showcase the unique offerings of Seychelles to potential travellers worldwide.
Air Seychelles has pledged its active participation alongside Tourism Seychelles in key international events, specifically targeting markets crucial to the destination’s growth. These events include World Travel Market Africa in South Africa, Outbound Travel Mart in India, and Salon du Prêt à Partir in Mauritius.
In return, Tourism Seychelles has committed to supporting Air Seychelles by actively participating in the airline’s milestone events throughout the year. This will further strengthen the bond between the two entities and reinforce their shared goal of driving tourism growth in Seychelles.
“This partnership marks an important step forward in our efforts to showcase the unparalleled beauty and offerings of Seychelles to the world,” said Francis. “By joining forces with Air Seychelles, we are confident that we can reach new heights in destination marketing and attract even more visitors to our shores.”
The partnership will continue to elevate the destination’s profile on the global stage.
