Jono Hudson has been appointed as General Manager of Matetsi Victoria Falls, effective December 1.
Hudson will take over from Franco Rienzo, who has been General Manager for the past 2 and a half years.
Rienzo is returning to his native Italy. “The Gardiner family and wider Matetsi team thank Franco for his dedication and valuable contributions over the past years and wish him all the best for the future,” Matetsi Victoria Falls said in statement.
Hudson and Rienzo have worked closely together over the past months. Hudson, who has over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, said he looks forward to taking the reins.
“It was a great pleasure working alongside Franco for the past few months. I look forward to continuing his great work and elevating Matetsi Victoria Falls even further in 2020. I have a wonderful and supportive team and together we look forward to welcoming back our loyal guests as well as new faces,” he said.
Over the past two years, Matetsi Victoria Falls has undergone a rebrand and, as a result, has secured both Virtuoso and Traveller Made affiliations.
