Nasikia Camps has opened the Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge, in Tarangire National Park, Tanzania and is in the process of building Mandhari Lodge, high on the Manyara Escarpment, which forms part of the Great Rift Valley.
Charles Mwanisawa, Nasikia Camps General Manager, told Tourism Update that Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge opened in February and with Mandhari Lodge is expected to open on July 1.
Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge has 12 permanent tents made up of nine standard suites, one honeymoon suite with outdoor shower and two two-bedroom inter-connected family suites. The camp is open all year around. Kuro Airstrip is 45 minutes from the camp.
Mandhari Lodge will have seven tented suites, a honeymoon suite, and two family villas, each with a viewing deck.
Both camps have a swimming pool and thatched-roof main common area. A massage and spa room will be available at Mandhari Lodge.
Activities at the camps will include morning and evening game drives, bush breakfasts, picnics, dinners, as well as community and cultural visits. Hot-air balloon safaris are also offered at an additional cost.
