Hideaways has introduced a new dhow experience for visitors to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Guests can enjoy a sunrise or sunset cruise on the Zambezi River on board a traditional handcrafted East African dhow, currently the only one of its kind in Zimbabwe.

On the cruise, guests can enjoy birdlife and spot wildlife along the river banks from the comfort of large cushions while enjoying meze platters and beverages.

The two dhows, Zambezi Tribe and Zambezi Origin, are collectively known as Zambezi Truth and were expertly built in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in a traditional method that goes back generations. As the first and only dhows currently in Zimbabwe, sailing on them is a unique experience for guests.

Each dhow can seat a maximum of 12 people and a minimum of two, making it an intimate journey where friends and family can experience the Zambezi and its offerings in a bohemian setting.

The experience will be available to all Hideaways guests visiting Victoria Falls, as well as any guests to Victoria Falls who would like to experience this unique offering. Voyages set out at sunrise and sunset, and can also be booked privately for any preferred time.
