Wild Expeditions Africa has named Nanette Raath as Sales Manager for its South African travel trade. Raath brings extensive experience in tourism, including previous roles in sales, marketing and sustainability at Tanda Tula and other regional operators.
Mount Nelson appoints new GM
Patrick Fisher has been appointed GM of Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel, Cape Town, from June 9.
Fisher previously held senior roles at Raffles London at The OWO and Raffles Hotel Singapore, having begun his hospitality career in Cape Town. His appointment marks a return to the Mount Nelson where he earlier served in various food and beverage roles.
He will report to Iain Langridge, Vice President: Global Operations and Divisional Leader for North America, Africa and Asia Pacific at Belmond.
Uganda Wildlife Authority appoints new Executive Director
The Uganda Wildlife Authority has confirmed the appointment of James Musinguzi as its new Executive Director, following the departure of Sam Mwandha.
Musinguzi, who previously served as the Executive Director of the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, has identified his priorities as revenue diversification, habitat restoration, tackling wildlife crime and expanding community engagement.
Namibia Wildlife Resorts names Acting MD
Namibia Wildlife Resorts has appointed Epson Kasuto as Acting MD from April 1. His appointment follows the completion of Matthias Ngwangwama’s fixed-term contract on March 31.
Kasuto will serve in an interim capacity for two months while the recruitment process for a permanent MD is underway. The Board confirmed that the transition is aimed at maintaining operational stability during this period.
