Robin Pope Safaris has expanded its operations into Zimbabwe and has formed a strategic partnership with a Zambezi Valley safari operator, Milo Harrup and Sarah Stevens of The Mana Pools Travel Company.
Robin Pope Safaris will set up a new semi-permanent camp, John’s Camp, in Mana Pools – named after renowned African safari guide, John Stevens.
The semi-permanent tented camp will comprise 10 beds and have views across a flood plain towards the Zambezi River. Stevens will be available to guide on request.
John’s Camp will open from April 14 until November 30 this year. All existing bookings for the previous mobile operation will be honoured at contracted rates. New bookings confirmed between January and May 14, 2017, will receive an ‘opening’ special of a 15% discount per person per night.
Sarah Stevens is setting up Robin Pope Safaris Travel Zimbabwe and will offer ground-handling services in Zimbabwe. She will also offer Zambia and Malawi add-ons to tie in with the rest of the portfolio.
“We are thrilled to add John’s Camp to Robin Pope Safaris. We believe we share the same values and vision and we look forward very much to growing the Robin Pope Safaris footprint in this special part of Africa,” said MD Ton de Rooy.
