Cape St Francis has a new open vehicle for trips to Huisklip and Baviaanskloof.
Guests would now be able to get closer to nature rather than viewing it through a window, said Shaun Tessendorf, of Cape St Francis. The previous closed vehicle still remained in use for days when the weather did not permit use of an open vehicle, said Tessendorf.
Baviaanskloof, a nature reserve that is one hour from Cape St Francis, is home to a variety of wildlife including Cape Mountain zebra, eland, and Savanna buffalo. Guests will stop for lunch at Rooihoek on return to Cape St Francis, and visit Padlangs farmstall, where tea and coffee are served.
Huisklip is a coastal nature reserve 65km from Cape St Francis. A wide selection of walking trails are available for all fitness levels, including a walk to rock formations. Huisklip also has a wide variety of wildlife and indigenous plants including yellowwood, stinkwood, and ironwood trees.
