Wilderness Safaris has appointed Alexandra Margull as the new Managing Director for Wilderness Safaris Namibia. Margull succeeds Mike Wassung, who will be taking on the position of Executive Chairman of the Namibian operation with immediate effect.

We are confident that she will continue to drive our Namibian operation to even greater heights under the ongoing mentorship from Mike Wassung as Executive Chairman,” said Wilderness Safaris CEO, Keith Vincent.
Margull joined Wilderness Safaris in July 2005 as the Human Resources Manager for Namibia. She moved into a Group role in 2010 and was subsequently promoted to the Executive Committee as Chief HR Officer in 2013. She also filled the role of Assistant Managing Director for Wilderness Safaris Namibia, playing a vital part in driving service delivery, training and staff welfare in this region.
She set up the Wilderness Safaris Business School in 2011, with the first intake of 29 participants in November 2011. She recently launched the Wilderness Leadership Academy.
The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Mark Willis as area senior VP for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa. He was promoted from area VP for the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa. Willis will now take on all the responsibilities for the entire African continent.
He has more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, 15 of them with Carlson Rezidor.
Chef Tyron Lumley has been appointed new executive chef for Fairlawns Boutique Hotel and Spa in Sandton.
