The results of Tourism Update’s latest poll reflect the cautious optimism of industry associations that new Minister of Tourism Patricia de Lille will be the right person to mechanisms in place to drive growth of the sector.
Responding to the question of whether they were happy with the appointment of the Minister, 35% of respondents said ‘Yes’. A further 39% said they were uncertain, as they wait for De Lille’s initial positive assertions and engagements to result in tangible outcomes. The remaining 26% said they were not happy with the appointment.
