Enjoy a stay on our historic Cape Dutch wine estate with its beautiful gables and traditional hospitality. It is also home to an unusual country restaurant in a working brandy distillery.
The thatched buildings are restored and have all the added little luxuries you expect. We have five luxury double rooms and a luxury family suite with visible thatch or bamboo ceilings. All are bed-and-breakfast. You may also choose one of our three self-catering (with well-equipped kitchenette) units in the "hen-house building", each with their own entrance.
Be enchanted by the skills of John Tecklenburg, our well-known chef offering an ever-changing menu of local and international cuisine. Oude Wellington is more than a restaurant and guest house: it is passion for food and wine.
Spa: In-house massage (various) on request.
Wedding venues: Smaller weddings <50 with gourmet kitchen and arranged by the management of the Oude Wellington Restaurant. Reception in Cape Dutch manor house and photo opportunities with farm animals and alpacas. Romantic spots around the dam and gardens.
Family-friendly: we have two family units with separated bedrooms for parents and kids. A small playground, farm animals and swimming pool.
