SAA’s deadline for the submission of its financials to the Hong Kong authorities to continue operating flights to the region has been extended to September 30.
Previously, the date was set for September 6. If the airline does not submit its documents in time, SAA could face deregistration and be prevented from landing in Hong Kong.
“This development has given us more room to resolve all matters that may be outstanding,” said SAA spokesperson, Tlali Tlali. According to Tlali, the National Treasury is working with SAA to ensure that the airline complies with the requirements in all jurisdictions in which it operates.
