Thompsons Africa has unveiled the new 16-day Stars & Skies Forever Tour. The tour starts in Cape Town and ends in Livingstone, Zambia, and takes guests through Cape Town, the Kalahari, Johannesburg, the Victoria Falls, Zambia, and Chobe, Botswana.
The tour starts in Cape Town, with a private meet-and-greet service and luxury transfer. Four days are spent sightseeing, with the choice of a full-day private, Cape Peninsula or Winelands tour. On day four, guests transfer to the airport for a flight to the private Tswalu Kalahari Reserve for four nights. The reserve is home to over 80 game species, including Black-maned Kalahari lions, the Desert Black rhino and roan and sable antelope.
At Tswalu, guests can choose from activities that include everything from game drives, horseback safaris, walking safaris, rhino tracking and a morning spent at a meerkat colony. Meals are at guests’ leisure.
On day eight, guests fly to Johannesburg, where they will overnight in either Sandton or Rosebank. They can spend the day exploring the city’s upmarket shopping experiences before flying to Zambia next morning, where they will enjoy a sunset cruise.
On day 12, guests transfer to Chobe Chilwero for two nights, where they will witness the greatest elephant population density in Africa and sunsets on the Chobe River. Finally, they transfer to Kasane to spend two nights on board the luxury houseboat, the Zambezi Queen, from where they will view the wildlife, scenery and atmosphere of the Chobe River. On the last day, guests transfer from Kasane to Livingstone Airport.
